Our Team

Josh provides the strategic leadership and overall direction of the North West First Responder Group. As Chief Executive, he is responsible for leading the charity's vision, developing partnerships, overseeing governance and organisational growth, and ensuring the charity delivers on its mission to support communities through CPR & AED awareness, community public access defibrillators, CFR and volunteer development.

Working closely with the Central Charity Team, Josh oversees the charity's day to day operations, drive innovation and expansion, and represents the organisation with partners, stakeholders, emergency services, and the wider community. He is committed to building a sustainable charity that empowers volunteers, strengthens community resilience, and helps save lives across the North West.

Robin provides the operational leadership of the North West First Responder Group. As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for overseeing the charity's day-to-day operations, ensuring services, volunteers, and projects are delivered safely, effectively, and in line with the organisation's strategic objectives.

Working closely with the Chief Executive and Central Charity Team, Robin leads operational planning, supports Area Coordinators and departmental leads, and helps drive continuous improvement across the charity. He is committed to developing volunteers, strengthening operational resilience, and ensuring the organisation delivers the highest standard of support to the communities it serves.

Tony leads the fundraising strategy and development of the North West First Responder Group. As Head of Fundraising, he is responsible for developing fundraising opportunities, building relationships with businesses, supporters and community partners, and helping to secure the funding needed to support the charity's continued growth and work across the North West.

Bringing extensive experience from both the commercial and voluntary sectors, Tony works closely with the Central Charity Team and our area-based volunteers to develop sustainable fundraising initiatives and new partnerships. His work helps provide the resources needed to support our volunteers, training and development, community projects and public access defibrillators, ensuring the charity can continue making a positive and lasting difference within the communities we serve.

Darius leads the People & Volunteer Services function of the North West First Responder Group. As Head of People & Volunteer Services, he is responsible for supporting the charity's volunteers throughout their journey with the organisation, overseeing recruitment and onboarding, volunteer engagement, wellbeing and recognition, and helping to ensure a positive and supportive volunteering experience across the charity.

Working closely with the Central Charity Team and our area-based teams, Darius helps develop the systems, processes and culture that enable our volunteers to thrive. He is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive and rewarding environment where volunteers feel valued, listened to and empowered to contribute, ensuring we continue to attract, develop and retain the people who make our work possible.

Jay leads the operational delivery of the North West First Responder Group. As Head of Operations, he is responsible for overseeing the charity's operational activities across our areas, supporting local teams, coordinating resources and helping to ensure our services are delivered safely, effectively and consistently across the organisation.

Working closely with the Central Charity Team and our area-based teams, Jay helps turn the charity's strategic aims into effective operational delivery. He supports the development of our operational capability, equipment and resources, community activities and ongoing expansion, ensuring our volunteers have the support and infrastructure they need to make a positive difference within the communities we serve.

Our Head of Training leads the development and delivery of training and continuing professional development across North West First Responder Group. The role is responsible for maintaining high standards of education, supporting our training team, developing learning opportunities and ensuring our volunteers have access to relevant, engaging and high-quality training.
